CIHA White Midget AAA outlasts OHA U18 Midget AAA, 4-2

The CIHA White Midget AAA White gutted out a close 4-2 win against the OHA U18 Midget AAA OHA U17.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Kyle Preston at 13:37 of the second period.

Pavel Gogolev had a great game for CIHA White Midget AAA, netting two goals. Gogolev’s tallies came at 2:06 into the second period to make the score 2-2 and 19:17 into the third to make the score 4-2 CIHA White Midget AAA.

Hisham Barayan also scored for CIHA White Midget AAA. More assists for CIHA White Midget AAA came via Semen Der-Arguchintsev, who had three and Jonathan Toope, Seva Losev, Jeremy Vasquez, Kenshin Hayashi, and Braeden-Jay Wynne, who contributed one each.

OHA U18 Midget AAA’s offense rang up 39 shots on the White’s net.

The OHA U17 were led by Craig Garrigan, who registered one goal and one assist. Garrigan scored 40 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 OHA U18 Midget AAA. Justin Cheng picked up the assist. OHA U18 Midget AAA also got a goal from Lucas Roy as well. Other players who recorded assists for OHA U18 Midget AAA were Aleck Forcier, who had one.

Jacob Lavergne rejected 37 shots on goal for CIHA White Midget AAA. The White incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Danick Francoeur made 22 saves for OHA U18 Midget AAA on 25 shots. The OHA U17 incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
